Timothy Briner, 2007
This August I'm embarking on a six month journey to six towns across the country, all name Boonville. I will be spending one month in each of the six communities, immersing myself in the lives of the residents and their environment. By juxtaposing the images from the six towns I am creating one fictional "Boonville", a metaphor for small town America.

the project - four years later its a reality (almost).

I'd be interested to know about your equipment list that you will travel with. Will be on foot or by car?

Wayne,
Texas is actually the one town that is extinct. Only a Boonville Cemetery. I think I'm gonna photograph the town that is sprawling around the old graveyard and few pieces of untouched land.
Equip list (if I raise all the money): 4x5, Mamiya 7II, Profoto 7B, Softbox strip, Some sort of on camera flash for 7II, reflector. I think that's it. a bunch of other little, basic things too, stands, etc. I pretty much just shoot with the 4x5. All the stuff on my site, minus "I hear you" is shot large format. Gonna take the Mamiya 7II along for those "decisive moments".
