Have You Created A Portfolio Quality Piece Lately?
Monday, March 5, 2007
When you get out in the real world of photography and daily create images for people that are not as educated as we are about photography several things happen.
1. You create the images they want because they are paying your bills.
2. You don't always create portfolio quality images. I'd say one out of five clients I work with I get to create images that I'm proud to call mine that I deem worth of putting in my portfolio.
My goal in my photography business is to bring these issues to a point of resolution and no matter who my client is create a piece that I would deem portfolio quality.
My goal in business is to strive daily to create some outstanding images that I can be proud to put my name on. Being in school and having the time and flexibility to create what you want is treasure to be valued, so soak it up HIP students.
I'd like to see some images you've created recently that you deem portfolio quality.
What are your thoughts on this issue?
