Wedding season is upon us (in NY at least)....
Wednesday, March 21, 2007
So the last 4 months i've been in "still-life" mode, where i've been shooting nothing but still life for a company here in NY (which i absolutely LOVE doing...but that's for the next post). However, wedding season in NY is right around the corner and i've been trying to psych myself up for it...get myself back into a more romantic state of mind after shooting nothing but products and jewelry. So in my attempt to get ready for the season, i thought i'd revisit some of my latest wedding work....here are some of my favorites from the '06 season.

these images have a very romantic fine art feel to them. but it is interesting to see how many of them could be used for commercial applications. i guess all of that product work must be rubbing off. beautiful.

You know if you had said to me when i first started hallmark that i'd end up shooting weddings, i would have said you were CRAZY. It's just not what i wanted to do. I had absolutely no interest in it. But one day after graduation a photographer called me up out of the blue after finding my site on the PPA student site we all signed up for and wanted me to assist. Reluctantly i agreed, and now almost 2 years later, I'm shooting on my own and I really love it. It's funny where life takes you sometimes, down roads you just never expected. I remember telling Michael Zide there's no way in hell i'd ever shoot a wedding...and here i am. He'd be so proud. :o)

I know what you mean.
I said I'd never shoot weddings and what did I do but go work for the Bellagio and shoot 2-4 a day!
But my last day there has come and gone and I'm officially solo in my own business now and doing well.
Got a call just today for more drop and pops for a client I've been working with and a magazine cover shoot next week.
