so i was told this image looks flat! whats you opinion?

Maybe a tiny bit, if you go too far though then it looses its whimsical feel. I personally love it the way it is. But if your gonna do it, I think the contrast could go up just slightly in the highlight area of the trees.
But I also think that you may just want to leave it alone. -

I agree, it lacks depth. Do a curves and give it a little umph and boost the colors and that image would be great!

well i shot it on a 70 - 200mm 2.8 IS USM with a doubler so its 400 mm plus the 1.6 crop factor its in the 550 range ish...... i was walking around this lake and it looked cool so yeah it was a relaxing time of photo taking

I think it could use a boost. Try this. Increase the contrast in the most important points in the image by creating a S curve for each individual channel in the curve.
