you seem to use a lot of texture overlays in your work. what are you doing to achieve that effect and how do your clients respond?

Thanks for the comments.. I have a lot of different textures that I use.. some are colored some are monotone. some are crazy some are suttle. Most if not all images that have textures on them have at least 3 textures on the and a lot of using layer masks, dodge and burn. Find a texture you want to use and place it over your image then adjust your layer style and opacity to the desired feel. From there ,mask the skin and anyother are of the photograph that needs it.
It is a lot of work to do a lot of images, however i dont do it to all the images. Only about 5-10 from a session. I still offer both the texture and un textured image when proofing. Almost always do they pick the textured image. Clearly they can see that the textured image is far better.
Textured images are not for everyone. I love the way they look and I feel that I they only enhance the image. If it overpowers the image you have gone to far. It not about the texture its about the raw emotion and feeling of the the subject.
My clients have yet to say anything against them.. They set me apart form others. I want to attract client that want me for my work not because I am a good deal, but that they feel they can't live without having one of my images on their wall.
I hope that helps..

Jason,
This would be a great discussion to have on the forum.
I've started a topic in the forum

I like the first one too. Although, I'm not too sure about the leaning building.
Cecilia... thanks for asking the question we were all thinking.
