Hallmark Student Gives To The Needy

I've heard about photographers giving back to their community with photography services, but this story blew me away. A current Hallmark student gave their hard earned cash, or more likely school loan money, to 83 year old Mary Olive Corbiere after she was clipped by a truck and her purse was scattered and her money was stolen by other less generous locals.
One Hallmark Institute of Photography student, who said he wanted to remain anonymous, wrote a check for $1,100.
'I was very upset by what I read. I felt I had to do something personally. I am not looking for notoriety. I wanted the woman to have a nice holiday.'

Wow. That gives me hope for humanity. I think that it's wonderful what this person did, and even more so by remaining anonymous. No ego involved, just pure giving. We need more of these gestures of kindness and giving in the world.
