Trip to Patzcuaro
Monday, November 12, 2007
Hello everyone, I recently made a trip to document the day of the dead celebrations in the traditional region of Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mexico. As quick explanation, the belief is that the deceased loved ones come back on the night of 1st of November to visit the family and friends, so people spend all night at the cemeteries to welcome them bringing food, flowers, drinks and music. Here are some of my favorite shots, feedback and comments are appreciated!
The rest of the shots can be seen here

The last one has a wonderful mood about it! I like the contrast of the warm light/soft focus and the dark color/rough texture of the woman's clothes and face. Beautiful image!
