Help me pick one...it is for Joan's class. My Promo card. It is so cold here and there is a storm coming in. Any driving tips for the snow in Turners?

Personally, I would go b&w with the image or go to a light color as opposed to black on the rest of the card with the girl in the light blue shirt alone. I find the light blue with the black transition distracting. Sweet interaction between the children and sweet expressions.

Buy studded snow tires and take the "Turners Hill" (Third street, I believe??) very slowly. I banged up my car really really badly there. I usually drove in first gear, but that night I didn't. (I drive an automatic--just put the shifter in Low or 1 or 2, just like someone would with a manual transmission.)
Driving in low/first gear makes the car slow itself if you are not pressing the gas. You'll feel the car stopping as soon as you don't hit the gas. The car slows itself by using the ENGINE, not the brakes. Braking too hard in the snow will cause problems.
You can have studded tires on your car from November 1st to May 1st I believe. They will decrease your gas mileage, but it's the worth the money if it saves your life, and auto body repair bills!! - At December 2, 2007 8:47 AM, Faith said...

Oh--you can buy tire chains as well. They do the same thing as studded tires, but they do kind of make an awful sound, and I don't think you can have them on the highway.

I love the second one Jacquie, but agree with Susan, try putting it into a sepia tone...in lightroom the aged photo setting is really rich....then you could take it to black. Also, can you off center the image a bit more?
The top one, the girls looks like she is going to fall over....maybe try rotating her a bit in the crop???
I love the expressions in these images, nice job! - At December 2, 2007 6:15 PM, said...

Very nice, the bottom two shots appeal to me the most.
Maybe as a spepia or B&W.
I've found consumers love B&W
