Has anyone ordered metallic prints from WHCC? Not press printed items, I'm looking for experience with metallic prints of people. Thanks! Susan

I have printed many metallics from whcc. I love them! It is hard to describe, it makes the images darks very rich and the mid tones and look metallic and whites and light colors look pearly. It is beautiful. I have done small to large prints, beach and landscape shots to portraits in metallic. It is fantastic both with black and white and warm sepia. The effect it gives the image is amazing, although there are some images that just don't work with it. I would definately recommend it, I have also gotten them mounted, they are a little easier to handle that way. With how delicate the paper is, it can be hard to not finger print it. Always use lint free gloves. Also when framed it looks great with glass but even better without the glass. What are you looking to print in the metallic? It really can give an image that extra WOW!

hey susan,
Nathan Hurley is a good person to talk to about WHCC. He worked for them a while back and he got me hooked on the company! - At January 21, 2008 10:22 AM, Wayne Wallace said...

Yea, I've ordered some large B&W nudes in metallic. They looked great.

the only thing you have to watch out for is finger prints....they pick up soo easy on them ... and dings and dents... Otherwise black and whites are amazing! good people

The metallic prints look great. Especially in black and white. If you frame them make sure you use museum glass.
