Hey Will! How's baby?
Love his expressions here! I also love his big eyes!
Take this with a grain of salt because my preference for babies is high key, but I have a hard time with the deepness of the shadows on the little guy - maybe a bit more fill? It looks like it should be a low key shot, but with his clothes and the background, its a tough mix for me.
Also, what aperature were you shooting at? I found with kids that I had to be at a higher aperature because they move so fast that my focus wasn't all that great - I tried 2.8 because I love shallow dof but with kids, it just came out looking too soft.
Great job! You'll soon have a model to do a lot of practice on! - At February 11, 2008 10:02 AM, KBISTUDIO.COM said...

I really like the last one - great expression, great composition, all around capture!
Have you moved to Chi-town yet? - At February 15, 2008 7:27 PM, Susan McManus said...

Babies are tough. I do love the expressions on this little guy. I know this is a news flash (lol) but I love low key on everybody - including kids. To me, it just really depends on the skin color and what the baby is wearing. Good solid job as always Will.
