Cathie's mountain bike images motivated me to share this link for the Florida State Road Race championships. My approach differs from the usual "photo of every rider" approach. There is a wide variety of subject matter at every race, and this particular race had both scenery from the country setting, and some amazing character studies of the suffering riders.

The location is Marion county in Florida. It is 'horse country' and also a cycling haven. There were many people watching the race, but I kept most of the images clean from non-participants. It is extra work, but it turned out well. The promoter to the race featured a link to my gallery on his site and my individual sales turned out good.

Many of the riders in this particular race are professionals, and they came from all over the southeast to race this event. The elite racers are less likely to purchase images of themselves. Even so, this gallery was quite instrumental in getting my name out to those riders.
