My family portrait
Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Hey everyone, I photographed my family's portrait and retouched it all....Please let me know what you think because I am planning on having this printed on canvas for my mom. The original photo is first, and the final is 2nd. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I would tone down the backlight behind the heads. Your eye goes directly there and not to their faces. Also the little boy in front with the green, I would change the color of his shirt-with client approval. Same goes for the slippers. Also I would change the white shoes and socks to a darker shade and the white stripe on the green shirt too.

I agree with the backlight being too bright. It was the first thing I noticed. After reading Glenn's comment I'd say after taking all the time to insert the background, it definitely wouldn't hurt to change the color of the socks and slippers. Good job with posing and the expressions are good. =0)
