Hurricane Ike

As most of you know, Hurricane Ike just recently invaded the Gulf Coast.
I, along with many, rode it out at my home in Nederland, Texas and have decided to never do so again. My sister, cousin, and I are now in Sugar Land, Texas waiting until Nederland and surrounding cities get power and clean water.
My house is fine, my sisters' house on the other hand, is not.

(A dead bird down the street from my house)
(A house in Bridge City...you can see on the wood where the water had risen)
(A chimney fell off of one of my neighbors' houses.)

This hurricane was huge! It affected many across the gulf coast. 
Please keep them in your mind and heart within the following months.
And if you can, please donate to the Red Cross.

thanks for sharing, glad you're okay but next time get out of there.

I'll take living in the heat of vegas over dealing with that kind of mother nature.

I just did an assisting job in that area. Covering the damage and how Lowe's stores were helping people recover. We went to stores all over the Houston area. With damage ranging from no power to flooding and wind damage.
